Pevimag Contractors (PVT) LTD is a wholly Zimbabwean owned company formed in April 1995 and was incorporated under the Companies Act (Chapter 190) on 17th May 1995.
Pevimag Contractors boasts of a highly qualified technical staff complement with several years of experience and technical expertise capable of handling any project of any magnitude.
Since it was incorporated, Pevimag Contractors has undertaken various projects ranging from small to large scale as indicated on the projects list.
Pevimag Contractors are open to enter into joint ventures with other local or international companies where the degree of environmental awareness, safety, technical expertise and cost effectiveness are beyond our scope.

DUTIES :-
Design, drafting of Civil Engineering Services i.e. roads and stormwater, sewerage and water reticulation, supervision of various Government Projects in Matebeleland North, Matebeleland South and Masvingo Provinces, checking drawings prepared by consultants and also preparing Tender Documents for the assigned projects.
PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN
1. Public Service Training Centre (1988)
Joint supervision of the project with the consultant Nicholas O’Dwyer and Partners (Mr. Mcrobert).
Designs were done by the consultant: sewer reticulation, water reticulation, and road and stormwater drainage.

2. Bulawayo Hotel School (1988)
Design of sewer reticulation, water reticulation, roads and stormwater drainage. Tacheometry surveys were carried out to facilitate the designs. Supervision was carried out for two years.

3. Matopos Research Station (1989)
Designs were done by the consultant – Walter Garaba and Partners (Mr. Chivese & Mr. Mare). The project was of a trunk sewer of about 7km and waste stabilization ponds. Supervision of the works jointly carried out by Majengwa, Mare and Mr. Chiseve.

4. Chambuta Ref. Camp (1989)
Design of sewer reticulation (TRUNK SEWER) and water stabilization ponds incorporating effluent disposal field. Prepared contract documents that is Specifications and Bills of Quantities.

5. Masvingo Teachers’ College (1990)
Designs of sewer reticulation, water reticulation, roads and storm water drainage. Surveys were carried out to facilitate the designs. During construction levels were fixed as to designed grades by Majengwa with assistants.

6. Mwenezi Secondary School (1990)
Design of a gravel road and storm drains. Supervised the contractor on weekly basis till completion.

7. Tsholotsho District Hospital
Designed by Senior Engineer J. Tayler, the scope of works being sewer reticulation and waste stabilization ponds. This project was jointly supervised by J. Tayler and Majengwa P.

8. Khami Prison (1992-1993)
Jointly designed by Engineer J. Chimoto and P. Majengwa, the scope of works being sewer reticulation, water reticulation, roads and storm water drainage. Surveys were carried out and setting out using a Wild T2 theodolite.

9. Binga Secondary School (1993)
Design of sewer reticulation (TRUNK SEWER) discharge into sewage ponds was done. Leveling along the proposed route was carried out. Mr. Majengwa prepared the Bills of Quantities and project specifications.

MANAGEMENT PROFILE – COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR
E.B. EPHRAIM: - Is the company’s Commercial Director and is responsible for all the day to day running of the Commercial Department. He started his building career with Grinaker Construction (Pvt) Ltd now known as Grinaker LTA in 1986 as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. Mr. Ephraim holds a Diploma in Quantity Surveying and another Advanced Diploma in Building Technician City Guilds (London). Besides Diplomas in Quantity Surveying Mr. Ephraim also has a certificate in Land Surveying which he attained from Gulliver Training Center specializing in Curve Range and Setting out. He also took part in the Chitungwiza to Harare Highway. Amongst notable Projects handled by Mr. Ephraim as an Assistant are:-

Mr. Ephraim resigned from Grinaker Construction in 1994 to join FMI Contracting as a Senior Quantity Surveyor and Estimator. Whilst at FMI he successfully tendered the following projects:-

Besides tendering Mr. Ephraim also managed contracts such as the Bulawayo Forestry Commission, Boka and NOCZIM Masasa Terminal. The Management at FMI Contracting appointed him the Acting Head of Department of Quantity Surveying and drafted him into the Management Committee. Mr. Ephraim later resigned from FMI Contracting in 1996 and had a short stint with Mutual Construction before helping to form a new construction company, LINK CONTRACTORS headed by former General Manager of Air Zimbabwe, Mr. Fungayi Musara, in 1998 as a Commercial Manager. He was appointed the Commercial and Building Manager of DEMCOR Holdings. At LINK CONTRACTORS he successfully tendered the following projects:-

Mr. Ephraim was later offered some shares in September 2004 and became the Commercial Director of Pevimag Contractors. He runs the company together with the other Director

MANAGEMENT PROFILE: OPERATIONS
F. PAKAMISA: - Is the Operations Manager and has 18 years experience in the industry. He holds a Certificate in Surveying, Diploma in Building Technician City & Guilds, Building Technology and Building Economics from Harare Polytechnic and the Harare Institute of Technology respectively. Prior to Pevimag Contractors Mr. Pakamisa worked for Costain Africa and handled the following projects:-

From Costain Mr. Pakamisa joined Omega where he worked as Site Foreman and then Twenty First where he worked as Site Agent and then moved to Authentic Engineering before joining Pevimag Contractors as a Project Manager.
MANAGEMENT PROFILE: BOOKKEEPER
B.N. CHIKASHA: - Is the company bookkeeper and together with Mr. C. Marwisa are responsible for all the company accounts. She holds a National Diploma in Secretarial Studies from the Harare Polytechnic College. Prior to joining Pevimag Contractors she worked as a Secretary/Receptionist for Puzzey and Payne Masvingo and T. K. Hove & Partners in Harare. The above are being assisted by Alcoma Accounting (Pvt) Ltd in accounting systems.
MANAGEMENT PROFILE: QUANTITY SURVEYOR
E. MUBATAPASANGO: - Is the company's’ Quantity surveyor and is assisted by Mr. L. T. Mutsikwi. Mr. Mubatapasango is responsible for costing of all prospective tenders and quotations for the organization. He is also in charge of the buying department controlling all stocks and delivery of new purchases. Mr. Mubatapasango prepares valuations and all requisite claims which may arise, chases certificates and subsequently receives payments. Mr. E. Mubatapasango is a holder of a Higher National Diploma in Quantity Surveying which he obtained from Bulawayo Technical College. Prior to joining Pevimag Contractors Mr. Mubatapasango once worked for JM Construction (Pvt) Ltd based in Zvishavane. At JM Construction he was responsible for all quantity surveying works for the following projects:

Mr. L. T. Mutsikwi is a holder of a National Diploma in Quantity Surveying obtained from Harare Polytechnic College. He has been part of Pevimag Contractors as from his time of attachment in 2008 up to date. He was responsible of tendering for the following jobs which we were subsequently awarded:

MANAGEMENT PROFILE: CIVIL ENGINEERS
M. B. Hove: - Is the company's’ Civil Engineer and is assisted by Mr. T. D. Harry. Marshall Hove was born in 1984 and was educated at Southerton Primary School in Harare and Pamushana High School in Bikita. He obtained a B.Eng. Honours Engineering degree in Civil and Water Engineering from the National University of Science and Technology 2009.
He trained as a Civil Engineer from June 2007 to June 2008 for SDP Africa, a Civil Engineering Consultancy based in Harare gaining useful experience in design and supervision of several projects including the NSSA-RTG Hotel in Beitbridge, the Africa sun Corisco Hotel and Mongomo Hotel School both in the Equatorial Guinea. He then joined T.J Associates in June 2008 where he has trained as a structural engineer. He has gained a lot of experience in Project Management, Structural Engineering design, detailing and construction supervision on such projects as the NSSA- RTG Beitbridge Hotel, Forbes Border Post Refurbishment, Public Services Commission Office Towers, Muzhongi Motors Workshops, Westlam Investments Shopping complex amongst many other projects.
In September 2009 he joined Pevimag Contractors as a structural engineer. He has gained a lot of experience in Project Management, Structural Engineering design, detailing and construction supervision on such projects as the Forbes Border Post Refurbishment, and many other projects.
